Master’s degree in Linguistics and Bachelor’s in Philosophy
Hello! My name is Sabrina.
I’m an Italian teacher (L2/LS) with a Master’s degree in Linguistics (DIL2 – Teaching Italian to Foreigners, Università Roma Tre) and a Bachelor’s in Philosophy (University of Genoa). I hold the CEDILS certification, recognised by the Italian Ministry of Education as a specialisation in teaching Italian as a foreign language.
I’ve taught Italian online and in person to students of many nationalities: at the Italian Cultural Institute in Guatemala City, to Politecnico di Milano students, in company courses, to adult learners at a CPIA centre, and to English-speaking students in Toronto. I currently teach for SLAM (University of Milan), I am on the qualified list at Ca’ Foscari, and teach Italian in online courses for the European Commission. I also co-founded My Italian Podcast and have been admitted to the CELI examiner training course.
Key competencies:
- Communication – adapting register and teaching style to different levels, ages and cultures, in person and online.
- Organisation & Class Management – personalised study plans, inclusive strategies for mixed-level classes, continuous progress monitoring.
- Cross-disciplinary Skills – background in theatre and dance supporting expressive, classroom-ready communication.
- Digital Skills – advanced with Google Workspace/Microsoft Office, Zoom/Teams/Classroom, and digital content creation (Slides, Canva, podcast editing).
