Hi ! My name is Léa. I am from Toulouse, the “Pink city” in the south of France, and I am a native French speaker as well as a certified French teacher (CLTA, International house). Previously, I was a materials engineer and I did a professional reconversion. I have been working as a French teacher for a year now !
I grew up in a family of globe trotters, so I’ve had the chance to travel since I was very young (about 30 countries so far !) During my studies, I did an Erasmus exchange semester in Norway, an internship in Italy, a student solidarity raid (4L Trophy) in Morocco, a humanitarian project in the Philippines, and I also gave French classes to international students in my engineering school. So now I have a lot of international friends and I love it ! Hearing and speaking different languages is a big part of my life. Outside of work, the 2 things I love the most are music and dancing. I’m a singer-songwriter, part of a duet playing Soul, Blues and Folk. I play piano, guitar and I love buying new instruments. I am also part of a dance troupe in Toulouse that does Swing dances (Boogie Woogie, Lindy Hop, Blues…)
I stopped working in engineering a year ago and I now dedicate myself to teaching French. I’m excited to meet you and improve your French (Speaking, Listening, Reading, Writing, Conversation) according to your needs and what you want to do !
